The user name and password of Ex-next generation is admin(all small letters).
The following step is Company creation:-
From the Company menu, select New Company. The New Company dialog box appears.
Enter the details in the fields:
Type the name of your company. The name must be unique.
Type a short name for your company. For example, if you set up company ‘International Garments Ltd.’, you can assign it the short name, ‘IGL’.
Type the address of your company.
Type the telephone number of your company.
Type the fax number of your company.
Type the e-mail address of your company.
3. Click Next.
Enter the details in the fields.
Enter the start date for your company’s financial year
After your company is set up, you cannot modify the start date.
Enter the end date for your company’s financial year.
The period of the financial year must be in between 3 and 18 months.
Once you specify the financial period, you may increase it up to 18 months, but you cannot decrease it.
Type the Central Sales Tax number of your company.
Type the state sales tax number of your company.
Stock Valuation Method
Select ‘Weighted Average’ or ‘Moving Weighted Average’
If you want to value the stock for the company manually, select ‘None’.
E.X. NGN provides built-in templates for several business types. For example, if you select ‘Trader’ as your business type, E.X. NGN sets up the basic framework of accounts commonly used by traders.
Select the business type that best describes your business.
If you want to create your own set of accounts, select ‘None’.
Displays the set of accounts that E.X. NGN provides for the business type you select.
5. Click Next.
Enter the details in the field.
Select the directory where you want to save the data of your company
Opening an Existing Company:-
Before you can perform tasks for a company, you must open the company. Let’s say, you have access to two companies with the same User ID and Password, and you want to perform tasks for both these companies. After you’ve completed the tasks for one company, you need not log off and log on again for the other company. You’ll just have to close the company you are working on, and open the other company.
To open a Company
1. From the Company menu, select Use Company. The Select Company dialog box appears.
2. Select the company you want to work on, and click OK. E.X. NGN opens the selected company.
Modifying Details of a Company :-
After you’ve set up a company, you can modify details such as telephone number or end date of the financial year. Before you modify the details of a company, you must open the company.
To modify details of a Company
1. From the Company menu, select Modify.
2. Modify the details of the company.

4.Click Finish. E.X. NGN saves the modifications, and makes corresponding changes in all related documents.
Deleting a Company :-
You can delete the companies you’ve set up. When you delete a company, all the details and transactions you had entered for the company are deleted.
You cannot delete a company if that company or any other company is open.
To delete a Company
1. From the Company menu, select Delete. The Select Company dialog box appears.
2. Select the company you want to delete, and click OK.
3.E.X. NGN prompts you to confirm the deletion.
Setting Up Grouping and Accounts :-
Creating Groups :
Click on Setup Chart of Accounts New Account Select the Account Types in the dialog box that appears . Select Create
Group and Click on “OK” to proceed.
Select the Main Group under which you wish to open a Sub Group in the General Tab of the New Group dialog box. Type “Fixed Assets” in the Name text box and select “Assets” in the “Sub-Group of” from the Drop Down List menu and click on “OK”.
